GMC X↗ The programme
MEMBER LAUNCH KIT / 01

Your campus.
Your next move.

Build your team, bring in your first members and plan an event worth showing up for. Everything you need to reach Launch starts here.

01 / LAUNCH

Four steps to Launch.

One shared pathway for new and existing student clubs. You do not need to deliver an event to unlock Launch.

01

Application accepted

The GMC X team confirms acceptance. An application receipt alone is not acceptance.

02

Student leadership named

Name your student leads and agree who owns community, events and communications.

03

10+ joined members

Recruit at least ten confirmed members. Followers and people who only saw a post do not count.

04

First-event plan submitted

Share a clear topic, outcome, audience, agenda, date and location or online format.

02 / TEAM

A small team. Clear ownership.

Suggested roles: one person may cover more than one role. These are practical recommendations, not extra tier requirements.

Club lead

Coordinates the launch and stays in touch with GMC X.

Community lead

Welcomes members and maintains the member count.

Events lead

Owns the agenda, venue and event logistics.

Communications lead

Personalises the artwork and runs promotion.

03 / EVENT

Make the first event easy to join.

Choose one useful outcome. Keep the audience and format specific. Use the plan below in your submission.

01 / Workshop

Build a first AI tool

75 min: welcome 10 / guided build 40 / sharing 15 / next steps 10.

02 / Meetup

Find your campus builders

60 min: welcome 10 / introductions 15 / challenge groups 25 / next steps 10.

03 / Hackathon

Solve one campus problem

Half-day: brief 20 / teams 20 / build 140 / demos 40 / wrap 20.

04 / Demo day

Show what you made

90 min: welcome 10 / demos 50 / feedback 20 / next steps 10.

Plan checklist: title • target audience • learning outcome • date and timezone • venue or online link • estimated participants • agenda • organiser • support requested.

04 / MARKETING

One identity. Your local story.

Use the new red, black and cream retro-computer branding. The kit includes 24 editable event covers in English, French and Arabic, plus nine campaign visuals.

Personalise

Edit the SVG source: club, campus, outcome, date, timezone, location and real signup link. PNGs are previews; artwork and the official logo stay fixed.

Keep it consistent

Use Montserrat for Latin copy, the supplied Arabic treatment, cream headlines and red accents. Keep the CRT, pixel X and cable artwork intact.

Check before posting

Remove every placeholder. Check spelling, Arabic direction, contrast and mobile readability. Test the registration link and get speaker/photo permission.

A simple promotion rhythm

  1. Before launch

Confirm your team and member channel, choose an event and prepare the signup page.

  2. 7 days before

Publish your personalised event cover. Share directly with relevant campus communities.

  3. 3 days before

Explain the practical outcome, who should attend and what to bring.

  4. 1 day before

Send a reminder to people who registered, with time, venue and access details.

  5. After the event

Thank participants, share a recap with permission and invite them to the next activity.

Copy, customise, publish.

Keep the complete kit close.

The shared playbook includes team and member templates, event agendas, EN/FR/AR recruitment and welcome copy, and the full design guide. Download the source pack to edit the visuals.

05 / SUBMIT

Ready for your Launch review?

Submit one complete milestone pack for your club. Use the same contact email as your application so the team can match it. Keep a copy of your milestone pack.

Responses and evidence are collected in Google Forms for the GMC X team and are never listed on this public page. Share only the information needed for review; do not include IDs, passwords or a public list of member phone numbers.

Before you submit

Do we need to hold an event first?+

No. Launch requires a submitted first-event plan. Delivered events contribute to later tiers.

What counts as a member?+

A student who has explicitly joined your club or community. Provide the count and evidence; do not count social followers.

Can we request help?+

Yes. Describe the support you need in your plan. Wait for confirmation before advertising it.

What happens next?+

The team reviews your Google Forms submission and contacts your nominated lead if anything is missing. No automatic approval or response-time promise applies.
